Dear Nick and Jen,

I am very sorry for your pain, but so glad that Nicky was blessed to have you as his parents. You loved him so devotedly and worked so tirelessly to do anything possible to help him. I hope you find comfort in knowing that every single day of his life, you gave Nicky all of the love and comfort he could possibly have. The bonds of love you share with him can never be broken. You haven’t lost him---he is just residing elsewhere right now in a better and safer place, where you will someday join him.

It is truly amazing to see how much love was generated by your little son in three short years of life. He touched more people than most of us do in a lifetime. And now that he is free of the prison of his body, his beautiful spirit will soar free and shine as the brightest star in heaven, glowing with love for you.
