My heart broke today when I heard the news of Bette's passing. I can honestly say she was my favorite customer and the only one that would hug me every time she came in the door. We loved to talk about our families, fun times and jewelry. Sometimes I'd turn off the light at my register because I knew we would get to talking and my line would back up. I never knew she lived in the cigarette sub. I lived on Zimmer in that sub for 20 years. I wish we had realized that. She would have laughed right out loud! I wish I could have paid my respects today but didn't get the news until I went to work. Please know that Bette was a ray of sunshine and so many of us at Kroger on 26 Mile just loved her!

Betty was like a ray of sunshine when she walked into Kroger #716. Everyone she came to know loved her and will miss her beautiful smile and the laughter she shared. Customers like Betty make it a pleasure to come to work. I will miss you dearly Betty.

When we think of Betty we immediately see her huge smile and hear her laugh. She has always been a stand out going back to the days on Breckenridge in the Cigarette Sub. Her family is so devoted to the meaning of family and are warm and welcoming to everyone. Betty didn't miss out on a thing in life and we will truly miss her. Love to you all.
